Millennium Trailers Acquires EchoCurio.Com

I was searching around for some domains to purchase and I came across this echocurio.com and I must say it peaked my interest.  I did a little research about this place and it appeared to be a little art gallery/club in Los Angles.

It appears that this place was shut down due to permitting/zoning issues.  Per an article I read, the LAPD raided the place, they tried to apply for permits, but they were zoned retail so they could not get the right permits.  Gotta love California…

I came across this description on archive.org on the old echocurio.com site:

ECHO CURIO strives to funnel local creative energy and mix it with an international body of artists into a central venue where it can develop a regular audience in order to increase cultural liquidity. Half of the space features revolving monthly exhibitions ranging from outsider/fringe and freak culture to local community-based historical exhibitions.  The other half of the space is devoted to affordable creations.  We sell everything from small paintings and curious objects to silk screened underwear to handmade CDrs to filmmakers DVDs to, I don’t know, Whatcha got?  This is a curiosity shop after all. In addition to the exhibits, we feature several musical events, lectures, and soft cult happenings a month.

So I was going to occasionally look back at the archive and post some interesting things I can find about this site.  If anyone is interested in blogging about stuff that went on at this site, or things going on in Los Angles that are similar to this place, give me a call

Three – One – Seven – Eight – Six – Two – Three – Zero – Zero – Zero, ask for Bill.

I just want to say I don’t endorse anything about this place, just thought it seemed neat.  I have never been there, nor do I know anyone who has been here, or ever even talked to anyone.
